A distance facilimentored integration experience Module 3
How do you know when your real-world endeavor is integral? A definition of "integral" is essential to completeness. When essential elements, relationships, and conditions are overlooked, our efforts are likely to be sabotaged by unexpected obstacles. The more integrally-designed an effort is, the more successfully it will meet its goals. This is true for any project, social change or development effort, consulting, research, or educational experience.
This module introduces and shares the Integral Evaluation Process tm (IEP), ARINA's core criteria to evaluate the integral quality of its own and others' work. Because we want efforts to succeed, we want to help you look for integral quality in how things are conceptualized, the content, the design, and the methods. Contact us if you want ARINA to bring this workshop to you in-person!
Participants need to bring one of their own "cases" to which they will apply the IEP during this module's work. A "case" needs to already be in descriptive written form (in English) at the beginning of the module, and can be an actual plan or a description of a past endeavor. For example, it may be about:
* please do not reveal identities of any persons!
Learning intentions of Module 3 1. Understand how the IEP criteria apply to your kind of work. 2. Get a sense of the demands on a person who intends to do integrally-designed work 3. Discover which IEP criteria invite your attention to "growing edges" 4. Participants produce a written self-evaluation of at least one particular dimension of their own case.
