ARINA's Inaugural Year

To realize its overall vision, ARINA will create and foster a growing, comprehensive network that affords its individuals and organizations needed resources and means to attain, enhance, and support their efforts to effect enduring systemic change in integral ways. 

Comprehensive organizations and networks do not grow overnight, nor would we want them to. Each phase of operations and each stage of network growth needs to rest firmly on the foundations of ARINA's philosophy, operating principles, and praxis before next phases have the healthy bases they need to rest upon, too. While those foundations clarify for us the necessary conditions for healthy organizational growth, they are like the map, not the territory we actually have to travel. And while we have a clear vision, we do not pretend we have all the answers on how to bring it into the realities we are aiming at (see graphic below).

Nor do we pretend we have all the human and other resources we need to implement this inaugural period. It is a chief aim during this year to build operational foundations while launching early efforts. As we launch this Inaugural Year, we do so with anticipation for attracting the combinations of people, organizations, and resources that will be both essential for this early period and a sturdy foundation for what lies ahead!

An important research question we're dealing with: One important aspect of aiming to serve a global area is the work it will take us to figure out how to assign costs and revenues to things. The cost of living in different parts of the world is wide-ranging, and when we must charge registrations for offerings, it is important to us to develop a way to balance the fees across various regions of the world. Thus, we will be paying a lot of attention to the geographical locations of site visitors and Associates. Please take a moment to pin your location on our Guest Map to help us out with this effort!

As an innovative young organization, ARINA invites you to co-create and co-evaluate with us. We have set the Inaugural Year as an explicitly experimental time for your participation to help us refine our initial ideas, approaches, and communications of them! When we say throughout this website that we want to hear from you, we really mean it!

Our general strategy for the Inaugural Year is to:

Breathe life into the “whole template” of ARINA’s envisioned form and function, by putting into place at least one concrete manifestation of each arm of operations, even if it is executable at only a small scale compared to long term goals. Support the priority of integral quality first in each endeavor with consciously (a) developing a culture of reflective action inquiry and (b) employing the Integral Evaluation Processtm  (IEP) to examine the quality of plans, progress, and decisions.

 

The graphic below is one way to illustrate ARINA's arms of operation, along with our strategy to get early efforts in each one (small yellow starts) off to a firm start. The graphic's larger, uncolored "mature" stars launched from each arm of operations indicate our mature state in the future. Our most essential strategy is to do everything we humanly can to assure that everything ARINA does is imbued with the philosophy, principles, and praxis shown at the base, below - our primary "DNA."
